I have been told by the dentist for about 4 years that I should get my wisdom teeth pulled and I still haven't. Two of my good friends are dentist and they said that if your wisdom teeth come in and they don't hurt or fuck up your teeth you don't really need to have them out. The only thing they said was that it is a bitch to keep them clean. If I do absolutely need to get them taken out I am going to buy a bottle of jack, some nitro, and some Oxycontin and have my buddy do it in his shop.

Stay on top of it with the painkillers that they gave you and it isn't actually that bad. The Motrin was generally enough to keep everything feeling OK for me. They also gave me some good stuff but I only took it for the first day or so because it screwed me up so bad.

They gave me oxy and 800mg Motrin (classic Army move right there). I took one of each 90 minutes ago as instructed and it just made me feel tired, thought that could be from not making it home from Furious 7 until 1 last night just to wake up at 5:30.

I'm more worried about everything healing right than the pain at this point. I'll probably do salt water rinses a couple times a day.

Whatever you do, listen to their advice and no drinking through straws and DON'T SPIT! A couple days after I coughed up some phlegm while outside so reflexively let it fly. I instantly doubled over in pain, it felt like parts of my skull and jaw went flying out when I spit.

Got mine pulled on the Monday of spring break one year. Finished at dentist, cut across campus to walk home. Noticed people staring at me but I just thought it was because he cheeks were all puffed out from swelling and cotton. Got home, walked in bathroom, looked in mirror. Um, yeah, blood has spilled out of each side of my mouth, dripped down my chin and onto my sweatshirt. I couldn't feel it because everything was still numb.
